Fall Season - Week Thirteen - December 13th Finals

- Week Twelve saw Yaqeen defeat Sabr by a 4-1 score to take the series while Haya rolled over Ikhlas 4-0 to week their series.

- Thanks to Sabr and Ikhlas who see their season end in the Semi-Finals, both teams had solid seasons and no one would have been surprised to see either team advance to the finals but they fell just short of their goal and can only watch the finals play out.

- Check out the Media Teams review of the Semi-Finals and what they expect for the Finals in the weekly podcast here.

- The finals will feature Haya vs Yaqeen who were the top two teams in the standings this season and respective divisional winners

- Sufyan Shaikh has been a force in the playoffs to this point with six goals and an assist in just two games against Ikhlas. Yaqeen will have to do better to contain Shaikh than Ikhlas did who gave the power forward space to operate and he punished them every time.

- Yaqeen and Haya only faced each other once in the regular season during the cross divisional phase of the schedule where Haya easily handled Yaqeen and took a 3-1 win. In that game Yaqeen was missing Omar Husain who is a key player which contributed to their paltry six shots on net - something they need to do better with.

- If you have not had a chance to watch it yet, check out the new Player Profile Video of Aadil Chohan here which has been getting rave reviews. Some players in the East end who watched it were impressed and have indicated that they may want to participate in the next season so look for some new faces in the new year.

- The playoffs continue! December 13th and 20th will feature Game One and Game Two of the finals with the champion crowned on December 20th.

- Reminder that while Eye Protection is not mandatory this season it is strongly urged that all players ensure to protect themselves. There were some injuries last season where deflected balls hit players in the face and could have resulted in a serious injury to the eye. Please take the time to consider your own personal safety and wear the appropriate eye protection.
