Week Nine Three Stars:
1st Star: Waqar Khan (Sabr) - 3 Goals
2nd Star: Imran Lakhanpal (Ridha) - GWG to clinch playoffs
3rd Star: Arif Khan (Haya) - 2 Goals

Revenge Game for Ahmad Mobin (Ihsan): Through the course of the years of playing in I-Slam Hockey in one year you lose to certain guys but you also return the favour in subsequent season. Tonight Ahmad Mobin gets a chance to avenge this loss to this championship team 6 years ago, with most of the players on the 2018 Haya (ironically same team name).  Farooq Sani scored what some (mainly and only Tawakul) called the most controversial goal in I-Slam history where others say it was the most clutch goal. Their paths now meet again…. 6 years later. Mobin has dedicated this game to Ikhlas’ Luqman Arshad

- It would be weird having the goaltender with the most shutouts in the regular season not make the playoffs. If Ihsan wins this would be the case as Khalid Mufti (3 shutouts) will not make it to the dance.

- Back to Ahmad Mobin, we are still uncertain if he will be in the lineup. If this is the case we anticipate Haris Mallick aka Scott Foster to be between the pipes. As well as noted in the previews Haya’s late season pickup Shuaib Hussein is also dealing with a nagging injury. Some suggested that with key injuries to both sides that this game be played in wheelchairs.

- There are early discussions to have a Mecca vs Medina All-Star game.  Stay tuned for updates!

- Has Maaz Haq (Sabr) hit the rookie wall? Although his team is winning we have seen a drastic decline in his point production this season. If he is able to get it done in the playoffs this will be a detail that no one will remember.  One observer noted he has been off his game since some of his fans showed up and did a hard hitting interview where they called him out.

- Waqar Khan (Sabr) looks poised to be the Champ-Champ this season. Most likely will win the Top Goal Scorer and Most Points Award.  He has made a great effort to step out of the shadow of his Brother-in-Law Furqan Salam after the two won a championship last season with Salam carrying the load.

- Ikhlas wished they were in the Medina conference as they would have had a shot to qualify for the playoffs tonight as oppose of being eliminated since the end of Week 8.
